1. Mechanics & Thermodynamics Laboratory
Room: A2.514
Function: For students apply theoretical concepts learned in the Physics 1 and Physics 2 courses to practical experiments related to mechanics and thermodynamics. They also can study, analyze, and develop techniques and technologies related to GNSS for applications such as precise positioning, navigation, and timing.
Another function of this lab is to research, design, build, test, and analyze a satellite system and technologies.
Facilities: This lab is equipped with modern equipment to help practice experiments related to Mechanics and Thermodynamics, GNSS satellite receivers. There is also a micro satkit satellite model developed by the Vietnam Space Center (VNSC) – Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology for teaching purposes.
2. Electricity & Magnetism Laboratory
Room: A1.403
Function: For students apply theoretical concepts learned in the Physics 3 course to practical experiments related to mechanics and thermodynamics.
Facilities: The lab is equipped with modern laboratory instruments for conducting electricity and magnetism science experiments.
3. Optics Laboratory
Room: A1.504
Function: For students to explore and experiment with various optical phenomena and devices.
Facilities: The lab is equipped with modern equipment to help practice experiments related to Optics.
4. Digital Signal/Image Processing, Big Data & iOS Programming Laboratory
Room: A2.203
Function: to provide a dedicated space for students to study, analyze, and experiment with digital signals and image using various algorithms, techniques, and software tools. Students also can explore, analyze, and develop techniques for handling and extracting insights from large and complex datasets in this lab. Besides, this lab is also used to provide a dedicated environment for students to learn and practice iOS app development.
Facilities: The room is equipped with Macs used for teaching iOS programming and computers used for teaching satellite images/signal processing and big data analysis. At the same time, serving specialized application of satellite images/signal processing such as Remote Sensing, GIS, …
