Participating in a research project on brown dwarfs (funded by the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development NAFOSTED)

In order to create opportunities for students to access scientific and technological research, the Department of Space Engineering, Department of Physics – International University – VNU-HCM has launched a funded research program with the following details: :

Content:

Hunting, studying the physical properties, formation mechanism of brown dwarfs.

Data for study from ground-based near-infrared telescopes (DENIS, 2MASS), space (WISE), radio interference telescopes (SMA, ALMA).

Results: Can be used to make dissertations, scientific publications at home and abroad. Techniques learned: Data processing skills, image processing at different wavelengths, optical spectroscopy, radio interference image processing techniques.

Support: from 1-4 million VND/month depending on volume and work results.

Requirements: Students majoring in Space Engineering (from year 1 onwards) and related disciplines, working seriously, accurately, have the ability to program and read research materials in English.
